Our Carbon Steel Colonial Chef Butcher knife is hand forged using traditional craftsmanship and not modern equipment. The quality is simply perfect for these reasons and gives a good sturdy and efficient knife. Because the knife is high carbon steel the knife can rust and should be treated just like a cast iron skillet. These knifes are great for your outdoor kitchens and outdoor needs. The weight of this knife helps you cut with very little effort and holds a good sharp blade. We recommend putting a little cooking oil on the blade to protect against rust. The sheath is made of quality leather that’s also handmade and allows you to carry outdoors. We also include our handmade fatwood fire starter with fire cord lanyard to help with those outdoor adventures. This truly is the cast iron skillet of Chef knives!
